Welcome to Hospital Punta Pacifica. We are the only hospital in Central America in affiliation with Johns Hopkins Medicine International. At Hospital Punta Pacifica, you will be treated by outstanding health care professionals. Many of the doctors and surgeons here are American-trained and almost all are English-speaking. Our state-of-the-art hospital facility opened in 2006 in Panama City's prestigious Punta Pacifica neighborhood. Our History and Mission
Hospital Punta Pacifica was born from the hopes and dreams of a group of Panamanian physicians. These specialists, in association with notable businessmen, wanted to provide Panama, Latin America and the world with a world-class digital hospital possessing the highest standards of quality, care, security and technology. Hospital Punta Pacifica has a state-of-the-art facilities and systems supported by one of the best hospitals in the world, Johns Hopkins Medicine International.

Johns Hopkins Medicine International brings to the world the best of Johns Hopkins Medicine, a tradition that integrates patient care with the best in medical education and research. Through educational and consulting engagements, the experts of Johns Hopkins Medicine International support the physicians and administrators in Punta Pacifica in their quest to provide the best health care to their patients.

Where We Are
Hospital Punta Pacifica is located in the prestigious Punta Pacifica district of Panama City. Situated along the Pacific Ocean, it is close to upscale hotels, fine restaurants, convention centers, shopping and only 15 minutes from the Tocumen International Airport.

The location of Hospital Punta Pacifica permits patients and their families to have access to many interesting attractions, cultural and tourist places, malls, theaters, casinos, historical sites, and attractions such as the famous Panama Canal.


Our Hospital
Hospital Punta Pacifica, Affiliated with Johns Hopkins Medicine International, is a thoroughly modern, state-of-the-art hospital.  The hospital is designed to the standards of Johns Hopkins Medicine International and includes:

  • 52 private rooms and 12 suites.  These rooms are specifically designed to provide patients comfort and after care treatment in a relaxed atmosphere.
  • 8 private rooms for intensive care and critical care patients.
  • 3 beds for semi-intensive care patients
  • 2 hemodialysis treatment units
  • 1 isolation room
  • 8 cradles for neonatal critical therapy
  • Neonatology ward for up to 20 newborns
  • 4 intelligent operating rooms
  • 2 childbirth operating rooms
  • 3 labor and delivery rooms
  • Recovery room
