 The surgical area, located on the 5th. Floor of the Hospital Punta Pacifica, is divided into demarcated areas where only the medical staff, nurses, technicians and support personnel of the operating room can enter, with their respective surgical gown, waterproof shoe covers, bouffant, and face mask to avoid contamination.
All of the operating room facilities have been designed to offer the patient the latest technology with specialized digital equipment, which provide the maximum quality in function and images, so our team of surgeons, highly qualified and accredited may address the medical-surgical problems of the patients.

This is because the surgical unit of this new hospital has the most modern infrastructure in the region, which offers the surgeon and his patients a lot of detail not seen, but which result in a lower rate of infection and safety for the patient such as:

This pause prevents mistakes in the surgical site and verifies the identity of the patient making the surgical unit more safe and efficient.
The four intelligent operating rooms are equipped with all the digital tools, cameras and high definition flat panel that allow the surgeon to see clear images of the surgical area and offer patients minimally invasive techniques and the surgeons a standard resolution medical monitors with images defined.
This camera system allows a continual education of the surgeons; because the images can be transferred in real live and direct to the Conference Room of the hospital's surgical area and likewise it can be send to Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore for second surgical opinions when this service is requested.
