 We know that one of the most beautiful and unforgettable moments in the life of a woman and her family is the birth of her baby. Punta Pacifica Hospital has designed three comfortable labor rooms located on the 5th floor of the hospital, and beautifully decorated private rooms for families, where only three (3) members of the family may accompany you during labor.
The mother will be carefully monitored by nurses specialized in obstetrics, and at the same time, will be provided with guidance on the choice of having a natural childbirth or epidural block to control the intensity of pain and thus enjoy a full labor and delivery.
The specialized nurses will provide support and guidance on breathing and relaxation during contractions in the active phase.
When the dilation is completed and the baby is ready to be born, the patient goes to the next stage in the aseptic delivery room with curved walls, laminar flow and high efficiency filters to minimize contamination and infection both to the mother and the newborn.
If the mother wishes to see the birth of its child, she can watch through a mirror and most importantly is that her husband may accompany her throughout the delivery. Once again, Punta Pacifica Hospital reaffirms the importance given to promote family togetherness even more.
Right after birth, the mother can start breastfeeding; this is the first recognition between the mother and her baby to begin bonding.
The delivery room is directly connected to the operating room in case the delivery is by cesarean section.
In case all rooms are occupied at the time of expulsion, one of our rooms is packaged to be an operating room, within which we find all the tools and equipment necessary to perform an obstetric or gynecologic surgery.

For the gynecologists, we have comfortable waiting rooms and private rooms with double beds, television, bathroom and sterile gowns. This may be close to the patient so they can relax while waiting for the time of delivery.
After delivery, the father will accompany your baby and the pediatrician to the neonatology area, where can see the baby while it undergoes routine examinations, such as the exclusive Punta Pacifica Hospital offers.
